In this video I show you how to use the tiptronic mode on an automatic transmission. This is how you do it:
Put the vehicle in drive. When you begin to accelerate and hear the motor starting to rev up, slightly push the shifter to the right in order to up-shift the vehicle (the positive side/to the right). When wanting to up-shift another gear again, slightly push the shifter to the right. Depending on the car you will generally have 5-6 gears to shift through. To down-shift a gear, slightly push the shifter left, (the negative side/left side). When up-shifting or down-shifting make sure not to over shift especially when down-shifting. If you down shift too much when at a higher speed, you can seriously rev up the engine and force unnecessary wear on vital engine parts like the seals.
