In this tip I want to talk curing one of the main flaws I see in most amateur golfers. This flaw is the chicken wing. This is when the arms just after contact with the golf ball buckle and contract towards the body. This decreases the swing arc, add loft to the club, creates manipulation of the clubface etc. making the golfer hit thin and topped shots as well as causing them to lose distance.
For this fix, I had a gentleman come out for l lesson and we just got his lead elbow moving in a different direction. As soon as we did this his chicken wing was cured. Because it worked for him, I thought I would share it with you. Maybe it will fix yours as well.
Although this is simple and highly effective you might want to do it in practice swings first then try it with the ball. This should feel completely different so take your time to get used to it. Once you do, you will hit the ball with better compression and power which will allow you to greatly improve your ball striking.
