In this experiment at the Els Club Desaru
My sister Teaski, who has a channel now, compared what the difference in score would be if she had my short game as a 4 handicapper.

She is very new to golf, and this was made in her 9th month of golf. She has made great improvements but it’s clear from this video how she can tighten up and shave 5-8 strokes off her game just through TOTAL focus on the short game inside 35 yards.

Her ball striking is pretty natural and she misses in good places, but he concentration level does dip and the short game is all about imaginatino through practice and focusing on what you’re doing to execute the imaginative shot.

She spends no time on the short game facility but after this, she started practicing on the chipping and putting green more and more.

I don’t really care about what people say, short game is essential. And not like Strokes Gained Mark Broadie did, where he based his whole damn book on the saying DRIVE FOR SHOW PUTT FOR DOUGH. No one really thinks that. It’s the game inside 100 yards that makes the money.

And when you look at strokes gained from his stats for driving, it’s like 30% cnotribution to better scores. Then approaches are similar and then he separates the short game inside 100 and greenside chipping and putting. That is disingenuous if I ever saw it. If you take the game inside 100 yards including putting as a total, it also contributes around 30%.

So get out there and sharpen that short game, the difference between Teaski and me was 10 strokes over nine holes.
