HOW TO CHECK YOUR HIP ROTATION IN YOUR BACKSWING (Irons & Driver)

Here’s a simple way to check your hip rotation in your backswing with both irons and driver. Ideally, you want the hip rotation to be half of your shoulders. Take a few minutes to try this and check your hip rotation with both irons and driver.

Getting the hips to turn the correct amount is vital in creating the proper backswing coil. If you are coiled up properly all you have to do is uncoil to hit the ball.

You can check your hip rotation in your backswing at the range or even at home while you are doing practice swings. Once you know the right amount with both irons and driver try to memorize this feeling so you can apply it to your shots in the future.
