The basic chip shot is maybe the most important shot in golf, as you are gonna miss a lot of greens. It’s essential, that the contact on the ball is good. Without that, you can’t control the distance. The key is getting a long shallow contact with the ground. You don’t want to be to steep on the ball, as that will make you hit the ground first. At the same time, if you have too active hands, you’re gonna hit the top of the ball. So go with softer hands.
