Our hips should also be aimed towards the intended target of our swing during follow through.
Aiming your hips towards the target during follow through indicates that your swing does not have excessive rotation, which would cause a player’s hips to aim somewhat left of target during follow through.
One of the key indicators that a complete golf swing has been produced happens as your hips are facing towards your intended target immediately as you transition towards follow through.
As players begin to develop a clearer picture of how their follow through should look, they will have a deeper understanding of how each component of their golf swing works together to achieve complete balance in the end.
Picking apart the positioning of the follow through on any golf swing will quickly reveal what other flaws may be present in the several other components produced during this sequence.
This concept allows golfers to then reverse engineer their own golf swings, using their follow through positioning as a reference point to apply other adjustments to their downswing, backswing, or even their posture and setup at address.
