How to hit your driver further – the most popular request in my daily lessons! It’s not always something I would recommend to customers as a priority, ACCURACY is usually at the top of my list.
Anyway, here is a simple method to help produce more distance with your driver without purchasing a new one! Move the ball forward in the stance, tee it up higher and create a more positive (upward) angle of attack to help a high launch, lower spinning shot. This will help to maximise your distance. It may be necessary for you to tweak the club path more to the right (for right handed players) as the club will naturally arc more left if the ball is forward in the stance.
