The terms hyzer and anhyzer are used in disc golf to describe the release angle of a disc. With different release angles, you can perform different shot shapes. Therefore, in this QuickTip video, Justdisc will describe the different release angles and shot shapes that can be performed with overstable, stable, and understable discs!

***NOTE*** – The chart on release angles and shot shapes is a useful tool for better understanding disc flight and terminology (found at the end of the video). It is important to remember that disc golf terminology differs from one person to the next, which is why there is a lot of confusion around certain words. After analyzing several different opinions, we came up with what we think is the most appropriate terminology for the different shot shapes.
