Building a Beginner’s Bag | Fairway Drivers | Disc Golf

In the second half of this series, I discuss the best fairway drivers for beginner’s from one of three main companies/manufacturers: Innova, Discraft, Trilogy (Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, Westside Discs). There are two sets of fairway drivers discussed in this video: 7 speeds and 9 speeds. While these two speeds seem relatively close in nature, they produce very different discs! I recommend all beginners use discs with speeds between 1-7 for at least the first few months, if not for a whole year. This will help a beginner disc golfer learn proper form, mechanics, and angles.

Fairway Drivers:
7 Speeds (from understable to overstable)
Innova Leopard (6/5/-2/1) or Leopard3 (7/5/-2/1)
Innova Teebird (7/5/0/2)
Innova Eagle (7/5/-1/3)

9 Speeds (from understable to overstable)
Innova Roadrunner (9/5/-4/1) or Discraft Heat (9/6/-3/1)
Dynamic Discs Escape (9/5/-1/2) or Westside Stag (8/6/-1/2)
Innova Thunderbird (9/5/0/2)
