Moss Creek Golf Tip | Higher Carry on the Driving Range

Contact us at (843) 837-2231. Moss Creek Director of Golf, Heidi Wright-Tennyson is on the driving range today, working on a higher carry. Joshua Carmichael shares a towel drill to help get the ball higher with less ball spin, improving total carry number.

First, adjust your stance to be slightly behind the golf ball.

Then, fold a golf towel to 3-inch thickness & set it 6 inches in front of your teed-up golf ball. The golfer’s goal in this drill is to make contact with the ball without hitting the towel, promoting a better golf swing without risking damage to your driver.
