The Absolute Beginners Guide| Disc Golf Made Easy| Step 1: Buy A Disc, First Time Advice

We begin at Dicks Sporting goods…why? Because as a beginner you’ll find it easier to choose a disc when you don’t have a thousand options with a thousand different colors and names, also not every place has a disc golf store so in some cases a Dicks sporting goods is all you have.

1: Be sure not to shop based on color

2: Look for putters and midranges as those are much more beginner friendly, avoid high speed drivers…for now, below is a list of good discs to start with.

3: If you decide to buy a driver please be aware of you surroundings when throwing, be extra safe.

When in doubt just buy a starter set.

FYI
If you are not sure where a course is located in your area, download an app called UDISC and that will help, or just join a local club such as the myrtle beach disc golf club on Facebook.

Or just Google it like a normal person with common sense would…I mean you got a smart phone for a reason right??
