Rumble in the Jungle – How to Shoot 81 like a Rain Man

This is the Jungle Course at Wangjuntr Golf Park in Rayong. Here I tried to break 80 of course, but the golfing gods were against me and I shot an 81 which is +9 but I’m happy with it.

We played the 7000 yard tees because the 7650 yard golden tees of the Highlands course killed us. This course was less hilly but very challenging.

I decided my playing objective or playing focus was going to be hitting THE MIDDLE OF THE GREENS. Never too greedy. The tactic works if your putting is good and my putting from far out is generallty good and I will usually two putt from most distances.

The 4 wood has since been retired. I will not use it anymore and have left it in Malaysia where it will die a slow death.

Unfortunately the rain hit and I am not a rain golfer. If it rains, I go inside. I went +4 over the last 5 holes, soaking wet. The 45 minute delay meant I smashed 2 fried rice dishes, a couple brews and a water so I was ready to have a kip after the stop.

We soldiered on and finished the final 3 or 4 holes.
