Is it more important to focus on the mechanics of the putting stroke or the path you want the ball to travel on? Believe it or not, if you want to make more putts, it’s far more critical to focus on WHAT you the want the golf ball to do rather than HOW you want to do it.
Many golfers seeking putting tips are often looking for some mechanical putting stroke tip as they think that’s the key to making more putts. Well, I can assure you, out of the hundreds of tour players I’ve coached over the past 20 years, ALL the best putters focused far more on the line than they did the stroke.
