The drivers dog was in back seat and wanted to get into front . The driver got distracted by his dog climbing over the seat and swerved off the road fishtailing in the grass and flipping over onto his drivers side . The truck was not too badly damaged .
The driver was actually a very nice guy but he interrupted me while I was setting up to recover his truck . He wanted a cost assessment for the tow . I do not like being interrupted while blocking a traffic lane at night .
I get on scene evaluate what is needed and when interrupted it is easy to make a mistake or forget a step . I was maybe a little short with the driver but I was not there to comfort him I was called by the WSP to remove a vehicle from the side of the road not discuss pricing with the owner .
As a tow operator we respond to late night calls all the time and while others may not realize it it is a dangerous job that results in Deaths and life changing injuries to tow drivers way too often
