Here I talk about the process of getting fit for a set of golf clubs. It does not matter if you use a single plane golf swing or what swing technique you are using if a fitting is done properly. A properly fit set of clubs needs to fit your existing golf swing. Even if you are switching to my easier Single Plane Setup 4 Impact swing method your impact lie angle and swing speed should be very close to the same as it was before.
Many people try to do fittings without even seeing the customer hit balls. They take measurements and tell you what you need. To me this is a crime!!! Nobody can tell you what you need without seeing you hit as many different clubs as possible while measuring the results. You need to see with your own eyes which club works best for you. A great fitting should also be brand neutral. Select the club that works best for you.
The Single Plane golf swing has you setup on closer to the impact plane so the clubs should sit fairly flat on the ground at address vs. with the toe up conventionally. Many playing conventional golf have the club sitting flat on the ground at address. In most cases that means that the lie angle will not fit at impact and the club will be too flat.
