ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

PGA Pros like Corey Paven choose a weak equal hold, Tiger Woods opts for both thumbs down the middle of the shaft.

Every golf pro has a variance on their putting stroke technique, but the execution matters less than the result.

Perfecting our putting technique varies from player to player. Many golfers use a snug grip with light pressure to sink holes, though this method doesn’t suit every player.

Minimizing the open space during a putt will almost always increase success and accuracy.

The reverse overlap reigns as the most popular putting grips, often utilized during PGA Golf tours. This stroke involves applying your left hand around the grip, then linking both hands by lifting the index finger on the left hand and wrapping it over the fingers on the right hand.

Other golfers utilize a grip straight down the shaft during their putts.

When it comes to putting, each player has their own personal preference.

The importance of practicing drills like those showcased in this video cannot be over emphasized. Golfers must putt a variety of different methods in order to find what best suits their style of play.

It’s also important to keep in mind that the face of the club controls where the ball starts during a putt. Ignoring this factor will lead to putts missing their mark.

Most PGA level golfers prefer the push stroke when it comes to their putting technique. The push stroke putt utilizes a forward stroke, which eliminates the backstroke entirely.

Pushing the ball to the target has a tendency to putt pressure on the wrist, often leading them to break down when arms or shoulders stop.

Holding the Y formation takes care of this problem and leads many golfers to sinking any hole they aim at.

When gauging the setup for a putt, players should make no compensations and eyeball their ball’s alignment in relation to their club.

Failure to properly align the club with the ball will dictate the need to compensate for the asymmetrical alignment, and likely ruin the putt altogether.

Preference for putting must be left up to the player. Legendary pro golfer Dave Stockton uses his left side to putt while the greatest putter in history, Tiger Woods, prefers his right hand.

Neither way cancels out the other, as putting perfection depends solely on the style and comfort of the player.
