Golf Lesson of How to Hit a Driver with my swing Coach Marvin Sanguesa. On my trip to Joey D Golf in Jupiter Florida I not only worked with Coach Noss and Andrew on my fitness program, but I also worked with Coach Marvin on my swing. There were a number of major issue that he identified and most are covered in this series of videos. In the first video I reviewed the golf lesson that he gave me about weight shift and where the force should be in your feet. While I have studied the golf swing for decades, I always thought your weight was to be balanced, but it isn’t. In fact about 72% of the force in your swing should be in your heels. Check out Part 1 for more detail. The other issue that was identified in that video was that I was getting my weight and force into the balls of my feet which cause my backside to move towards the ball. This created a stuck position frequently which meant that I would flip the club to try and get back to square at the ball. This is where this golf lesson about how to hit a driver starts. Coach works with me to create a better path and some of the feels that will help me to get in to the correct positions.
Golf lessons with your coach should be recorded like this to allow you to go back and watch it again to ensure that you don’t forget a particular point. I have watched this a number of times in the past few months since I was in Florida to stay on track. How to hit a driver is very important for me because of the struggles I have hitting a driver in play. The golf swing basics are often overlooked and not always taught in a golf lesson. Golf instruction comes in the form of golf tips after golf tips about the golf swing or how to practice golf. How to play better golf is through golf lessons on the golf swing, but have to be good golf tips that you can monitor and get feedback on. What feels one way during your golf lessons, changes day to day. The golf swing often feels different from day to day so you can not count on feel. That is why using your camera phone to record your golf swing from time to time will let you see how you are progressing with the golf instruction you received on the golf swing, how to hit a driver or whatever you may have worked on with your golf instructor.
