How to play a long Par 3
Beginner’s Guide to Golf
When playing a long Par 3 it’s generally safest to aim for a landing area that’s just short of the Green or at the front. There are very few long Par 3s that have hazards in the front. They just aren’t designed that way so that amateurs have a chance of playing them safely. Although this strategy generally takes Birdie out of play. It minimizes your chances of shooting anything worse than Bogey. Par 3s have the fewest opportunities for recovery so always look for a safe approach. Here’s a video of Manny and I doing just that.
