HINGE AND REHINGE YOUR WRISTS TO HIT PURE IRONS

In this tip I show you how to hinge and rehinge your wrists. Doing so, will allow you to hit pure irons.

If you don’t know, the wrists in your golf swing act as a hinge. They hinge and they rehinge. A hinge is loose which means you wrists must also be loose. The looser they are, the more clubhead speed you’ll generate (if you turn your body).

Loose wrists also contribute to developing lag in your golf swing. More lag mean pure contact and more distance too.

Most golfers wrists are too tight. This doesn’t allow them to hit pure iron shots. This is because swinging hard tightens the wrist hinge causing casting of the club as well as a chicken wing through impact.

If you want to hit your irons pure, start working on fully hinging and rehinging your wrists. There are certain feelings associated with this so make sure you watch this tip and start getting used to the feeling right away.
