Hi, my name is Robin Symes. I want to talk to you about correct hand position and sharp position of address. I often see the fault of players thinking that they need their hands in front of the golf ball address, but for me this flattens the left wrist and it disconnects your left arm from your body. Normally see the club face closing or the left arm rolling, disconnecting from the body at the start of the swing with this fault. The correct hand position is seen with all clubs. I want to let my arms fall in front of my body with connection on the side of my chest, equal left arm and right arm, and as I take different clubs…let’s take my six iron here…with the ball position one pad inside my left foot. This will equal a hand position which is slightly in front of the club pad in line with the ball. I change that to a driver…ball position in line with my left tee, hands falling in the middle of my body, you can now see that my hands will now be slightly behind the club further behind the ball with the club shaft angled away from the target. Simply apply the same rule to all your clubs, and you can feel an achievement of correct hand position and shaft position of address.
