Golf Nest LIVE – Driving



Golf Professionals Mark Linton and Matthew Enoksen go over some of the basic fundamentals of DISTANCE DRIVING from the Golf Nest. Tips covered in this video are as follows:

THE DRIVE
SPEED PRODUCTION IN THE SWING
– Position the ball opposite of
lead heal
– Wider stance with your trail foot
– Slight upper body tilt behind
the ball
– Utilize a FOOT FLARE in stance

CREATE AS MUCH TRAVEL
DISTANCE WITH THE HANDS
AS POSSIBLE

BACKSWING
– Free turn of the trail hip
– Ideally at about 45 degrees turn
– Shoulders rotate about 90 degrees
– Allow lead knee to come back in
towards your lead hip
– Lift the lead heal off the ground

DRILL: TRY AND WORK ON SIMPLY
TIPPING THE TOP OF THE TEE
WITH YOUR DRIVER

– Accending path of driver face
at point of impact

HANDS ABOVE AND
OUTSIDE / BEHIND
YOUR TRAIL SHOULDER
