Players of all levels struggle to commit to a certain shot type when their golf ball comes up against the cut line between the fringe and the rough.
The most successful and consistent way to play this shot is by “bellying your wedge,” which means using the bounce of your wedge to cut through the grass and make contact with the ball mid-way up and as if you were hitting a putt.
