DECODING THE GOLF SWING PLANE

Decoding the golf swing plane by Xichao Mo with Dan Courtney is a brilliant golf book that demystifies the often confusing concept of swing plane or planes. Many planes are discussed in golf instruction without much standardisation or sound scientific proof as to the validity of their use. In reality this book explains how the golf club moves on many different planes and can be successfully moved on several different planes but that at impact the club has to be within certain parameters for optimal ball striking. How can we expect to make our bodies deliver the club in to the ball in a certain way if we are confused about the various planes discussed in golf instruction, some of which are completely misleading. After reading this book you will have a clearer idea of how to move the club, be less worried about this plane or that one and give your brain the tools it needs to deliver the club head in to the ball powerfully and consistently. A lot of swing plane theory is just that, theory. It’s easy to draw pretty line s on a screen but are any of these lines relevant and more importantly are these lines planes at all?
